Hotel Gearin
13/20
Modern Australian
It's a bit gloomy, the outside tables wobble and the menu is eccentric and misspelled, but this cheap and cheerful pub doesn't disappoint. A red chicken curry had nothing like the spicy coconut flavours expected but was as hearty as it gets with a great home-made taste. The mushroom and feta risotto was also hearty and tasty. A seafood basket was pretty basic generic (and we suspect frozen) fare, but no matter as on balance this is a good place to eat for those without great expectations, and the service is friendly.
