Here's one for fans of the meat lover's pizza. Chippendale's too-cool-for-butchery-school venue, LP's Quality Meats, has confirmed it is opening a pizzeria.

Bella Brutta will open in spring, on King Street in Newtown.

It'll be a busy season for Sydney pizza fans, with confirmation of our tip back in May that Double Bay's Matteo is city bound, nabbing a site on Bond Street. It'll open in August, with an Acme & Co interior.

Sydney's expanding pizza trail now includes Detroit-style thick crust at The Lansdowne Hotel and a week-long pop-up headed to Maurice Terzini's Bondi Beach Public Bar in late July featuring Philadelphia's Pizzeria Beddia.
