A 27-YEAR-OLD woman has been busted almost three times the legal limit, after she and two companions were stopped after allegedly stealing a vehicle.

Northern Watch Commander Siiri Tennosaar said the trio managed a quick joy ride in the stolen car before they were stopped by Police.
“Two females aged 27 and 23 years, and a male aged 33 years, have been arrested after stealing a vehicle from Gilruth Ave in The Gardens, (Sunday) evening,” she said.
“The trio gained access to the vehicle at around 9.45pm and drove from the area, however were apprehended by police less than 15 minutes later on McMillans Rd in Marrara.”
Snr Sgt Tennosaar said the driver was breathalysed and returned a positive test, while the other two alleged joyriders will also be charged.

“The 27-year-old female driver later returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.148 per cent,” she said.
“All three will be charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, with the driver also to be charged with medium range drink driving and driving whilst unlicensed.”
