A 47-YEAR-OLD man has died in a motorcycle crash in Tennant Creek, in the second fatal crash to be recorded in the NT in less than 24 hours.

NT Police are investigating the death of a 47-year-old man who tragically died after he came off his motorcycle while riding along Savieri Rd in Tennant Creek just before 1pm on Sunday.

Police say the man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

Police and emergency service workers attended the crash scene and attempted to resuscitate the man, but he died at the scene.

The Major Crash Investigations Unit travelled from Alice Springs to Tennant Creek to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
