ONE of the alleged offenders involved in a savage six-on-one bashing on Darwin’s Mitchell St on Christmas Eve has been released on bail.
Tayarrah Morris, 25, appeared in the Darwin Supreme Court on Wednesday to apply for a review of a previous decision to deny her bail in the Local Court.
She was allegedly involved in a show of “appalling behaviour” which left a man stripped naked, unconscious and bleeding on the road in the early hours of Christmas Eve.

The court heard Morris, and her alleged co-offenders, one of whom was her boyfriend, targeted the victim, who was a stranger to the group.
Crown prosecutor Damien Jones said Morris allegedly kicked the alleged victim to the face and repeatedly punched him to the head, neck and stomach, including after he became “unconscious and bleeding from the head”.
“Passers by have had to stop and intervene and render aid,” Mr Jones said.
“She is still carrying on in an extremely aggressive manner (at that stage).”
Morris’s lawyer Peter Bellach said his client, who has been in jail for around a month, had a very difficult time behind bars over Christmas.
He said she had strong ties to the Darwin community and had a job and family to keep her in line while on bail.
