Second person in the NT fined for failing to self-isolate

A 46-year-old Darwin man has become the second person in the NT to be fined for failing to self-isolate.

A 46-year-old Darwin man has been fined for failing to self-isolate.

The man was checked in on several times by authorities and was given several warnings.

He was fined on Wednesday when authorities checked in on him and he was not there.

The man is the second person to be fined in the NT after a 52-year-old man was slapped with a $1099 fine on Tuesday for failing to abide by the 14-day self-quarantine period.

Police, the army and environmental health officers are daily checking in on people required to self-isolate.
