Police began an investigation into suspicious activity in the area after receiving a report of a white van following a group of children along Harrison Cct last Wednesday.

Then on Friday another report was made that a man parked his white van and approached a child walking in Sirius park, prompting the child to run to her school to sound the alarm.

Investigators used information provided by the public along with closed circuit television footage to identify the man and on Thursday, arrested him and charged him with unlawful stalking.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan said it has been a collaborative effort between police and the public to identify the man.
