NT POLICE have arrested a 29-year-old man in relation to an alleged group attack on a woman near a popular Darwin beach on Friday.
The 28-year-old woman was allegedly seriously assaulted by a group of men near Casuarina Beach about 7pm on Friday, and after escaping and being found by a passer-by was rushed to Royal Darwin Hospital to receive treatment for her injuries.
On Saturday, police officers from the Domestic Violence and Sex Crimes Division executed search warrants at two addresses in Tiwi and Malak in relation to the incident.
They arrested a 29-year-old man, who is now assisting police.

A white truck and “other items” were also seized.
Investigations are ongoing.
Police are still calling for witnesses to the alleged assault to come forward.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the areas of Casuarina Coastal Reserve, Brinkin, Tiwi and Nakara between 6pm and 9pm on Friday and who may have had dashcam, GoPro or other video recording devices activated at the time, as the footage from those device could assist investigators with their inquiries.
