A 41-year-old man has been arrested in Palmerston following an aggravated assault in The Narrows last week.
Police say the man had beeen “actively avoiding’ them prior to his arrest.
Detectives from the Domestic and Family Violence Division Section arrested the man on Tuesday afternoon before he was taken to the Palmerston Watch House, where he was charged with one count of recklessly endangering life and engaging in conduct that contravenes a DVO.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Warren Scott said domestic violence was an ongoing concern for the community.
“NT Police are actively targeting repeat and high risk offenders in an effort to reduce domestic violence,” he said.
“If you’re a victim of domestic violence or know someone who is experiencing domestic violence, please report it.”

The man will appear in Darwin Local Court on Thursday.
