HIGH flying Tracy Village Falcons will be looking for tough defence when they take on Banks Bulldogs in Round 10 of the 2021 Darwin Netball Premier League.
The Falcons may top of the table but following a 33-all draw with reigning premiers Pints last round the side will be looking to sharpen their one on one defensive game.
Coach Sharon Freeman thought her side played well in the tough game against Pints though would have preferred her girls had maintained their lead.

“It was a good, tough game for both sides with both teams playing hard defence,” Freeman told the NT News.
“They were strong through the middle and we struggled at times to find a smooth pathway to the scoring end.
“We would have liked to have kept our lead but Pints came back strong in the last five minutes.
“Personally we probably made a few too many changes late and it will be important to let the team settle down a more and get more comfortable in their combinations.
“The girls put in each week. We have a strong side and though we don’t always play our best game
Gemma Henderson and Lauren Pluker have been consistently strong in the mid court moving the ball effectively to the scoring end.
In scoring circle it’s been Mikaela Sawyer that has stood out shooting consistently and taking advantage of her opportunities.
But perhaps one of the strongest facets of the Tracy side at the moment is their depth in their defensive end.
And against Banks it’s that defence that will be paramount with the Bulldogs known for their athleticism and strong shooters including Mickayla Ward.
“It’s going to be a hard game against Banks, they’re a strong side with strong shooters,” Freeman said.
“We’re going to have to counteract them which will mean a strong one on one defence while looking for those turnovers.”
Meanwhile, Waratahs will be looking to bounce back from their Round 9 loss as they take on Hoggies.
And Pints and Nightcliff Tigers will shoot it out in the later game as both look to climb the competition table.
