A GROWING squad bond saw Nightcliff pull off an impressive win last week, and coach Tammie Rooney is eager for more when her side takes on Hoggies in the Darwin Netball Premier League.
The 45-20 win over Banks last week was Nightcliff’s biggest win of the season, and was the team performance that Rooney is eager to see more of going forward.

It was a bounce back for the side that lost 36-29 to Pints.
“I was really impressed with how they were able to bounce back from their loss the week before,” Rooney said.
“Our backline was amazing as they always are, which gave more opportunities to our centre and shooters.
“They really banded together as a group and produced a great performance.
“There are no easy games, no games where you can relax. We’ve had some great highs and some lows, which is everything you want in a season.”
The Tigers have plenty of firepower across the court with their potent backline of Katie Elmer, Lily Clark and Kiri Marshall able to cause problems for any side.
Brittany Daly is a workhorse in the centre, providing plenty of opportunities for her shooters in Megan Craufurd and Johanna Hampton.
Hoggies have weapons of their own, with Richelle Smith and Olivia Hatzismalis able scorers.
“As always I’m expecting another physical game where we have to hold our bodies and hold our own,” Rooney said.
“It doesn’t matter who we are playing – we have to play our game and do what works for us.
“Hoggies are strong all the way down the court.”
Meanwhile, Tracy Village and Waratahs will face off in a top-of-the-table showdown with both coming off wins from the previous round.
And Banks Bulldogs will play Pints.
Both sides are currently locked on equal competition points.
