THREE women have resigned from their position on the Palmerston Raiders board.
The NT News this week revealed the findings of the Liquor Commission’s investigation into the rugby league club’s Mad Monday celebrations at a strip club.
Darwin strip club Sinsations was sanctioned by the Liquor Commission after the club’s senior players Mad Monday party at the venue in 2017.
In a post on the club’s social media account, one of the members announced their resignation last night.
“After 21 years at the club it is with a very heavy heart that I inform you all of my resignation from all positions ... at the Palmerston Raiders, effective immediately,” the post read.

“Please also be advised that 2 more executive positions ... have also resigned today, effective immediately.
“I wish you and your children all the very best in rugby league and thank you for making my previous years as club registrar as enjoyable as they were.”
Two of the women involved have indicated their resignations were a result of “personality clashes” within the club executive, and not a result of the fallout from the Mad Monday escapades.
The club’s end-of-season festivities came to the attention of Licensing NT when an inspector wandered past on his way home from work just before 5pm and spotted a group of men at the club in fancy dress who showed signs of being drunk.
A later review of security camera footage from the private function revealed breaches of grog laws.
