Around $350,000 in grants are available in Round 1 to fund projects, events and activities that promote and celebrate social inclusion, cohesion, multicultural diversity and linguistic diversity are eligible for funding.
In addition, more than $300,000 in financial assistance is available through the Multicultural Community Facilities Grant Program 2021-22 to help groups upgrade and renovate existing premises managed or owned by recognised migrant or multicultural community organisations.
Multicultural Affairs Minister Kate Worden said the grants aim to promote social inclusion.
“Here in the Territory we have a proud multicultural community, which this Territory Government wants to help expand and grow,” she said.
