A GROUP of kids has smashed into the Alice Springs Target overnight, causing significant damage and taking off with phones and scooters.

NT Police Southern Watch Commander Evan Kelly said the kids first broke into the store through Todd side before more joined in on the burglary from the main entrance.
“There was an unlawful entry this (Thursday) morning in the Target complex,” he said.
“They entered through the glass doors by breaking the glass doors on the Todd St side.
“They then entered into the front of target by getting through the glass doors there and it appears this time there was a number of Aboriginal youths, we can’t tell how many at the moment and they have stolen a number of mobile phones and scooters it appears.”
