Restrictions tumble in the NT – but vigilance remains a must
FROM today, Territorians will be able to enjoy the most relaxed restrictions in the country as nightclubs, cinemas and other entertainment venues open – but that doesn’t mean we should stop being vigilant.

THE end is finally in sight in the Northern Territory’s battle against COVID-19.
Today marks the last stage of the Territory’s road map to our ‘’new normal’’.
More than 1000 businesses ranging from casinos to tattoo parlours will be allowed to finally get back to work today as restrictions ease under Stage 3.
The NT was the envy of the nation when we were the first to open up our pubs in May and we’re sure to be again today as nightclubs, cinemas and other entertainment venues open.
Territorians will be able to enjoy the most relaxed restrictions in the country.
Travel restrictions in the NT will also be lifting today, meaning avid fishos will finally be able to access favourite locations like the Daly River for the long weekend.

It’s a very exciting time to be a Territorian but that doesn’t mean we should stop being vigilant. So whether you’re going to a nightclub or out camping this weekend, remember to practise good hygiene and physical distancing where you can.
We’re living in the safest place in Australia and have reached the last stage of restrictions so naturally, all our attention will now turn to opening the border.

ScoMo wants borders open in time for school holidays in July but by the looks of things the NT won’t be reopening until after the school holidays are over in late July.
It’s now up to the Chief Minister to give Territorians the clarity they need on this issue.
