Qantas, Jetstar increase flight services across Australia — but not to or from the NT

QANTAS and Jetstar will not be increasing their existing weekly flights to or from the Territory despite announcing a big increase in flights across other parts of Australia

QANTAS and Jetstar will not be increasing their existing weekly flights to or from the Territory despite announcing a big increase in flights across other parts of Australia.

Qantas on Thursday announced route changes across Australia from the end of June.

Darwin currently has two weekly flights each from Darwin (stopover in Alice Springs) to Sydney, and from Darwin to Brisbane.

This will not change by the end of June.

Qantas increased its weekly flights from Sydney to Melbourne from five to 46, from Sydney to Brisbane from five to 21 flights, and from Melbourne to Brisbane from four to 14 flights.

Flights from Perth to Melbourne and return will remain at seven per week, while it will bring back its three weekly flights from Adelaide to Melbourne.

Jetstar will not increase its current seven flights per week from Adelaide to Melbourne, and from Adelaide to Sydney.

There will also be significant Qantas and Jetstar increases in weekly routes for flights within New South Wales, Victoria, Perth, Queensland.
