Organiser Lori Gardiner said she wanted to put on an event that reminded Darwinites of their favourite holiday destination, amid Covid-19 travel restrictions, and celebrated the capital’s thriving hospitality scene.
“People are hanging out for it, and we’re expecting it to be a lot of fun,” she said.
“We can’t go over to Bali at the moment, but this will be a lot like your typical Bali experience – think swimming, drinking cocktails and dancing to reggae.”
About 2000 people are expected to attend.
The Darwin Cocktail Festival is on this Sunday at 12.30-10pm.
