TERRITORIANS don’t have to fly to Bali to enjoy cocktails by the beach with the launch of an inaugural cocktail festival right here in Darwin later this year.
The Darwin Cocktail Festival will see at least eight Darwin bars take over the Cullen Beach lawns to serve thirsty locals their best cocktails on August 1.

Organiser Lori Gardiner said she hoped the event would help activate Darwin City and promote the quality of its hospitality venues.
“We have some really good mixologists and some very professional venue operators and owners here in Darwin, and I want to make people more aware that we’re not behind the likes of Sydney or Melbourne, we’re very much in that league,” she said.
