Kyle and Jackie O weigh in on explosive Michael Clarke, Karl Stefanovic fight

Kyle and Jackie O have weighed in on the explosive footage of Michael Clarke and Karl Stefanovic brawling in a public park over an alleged cheating scandal.

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson have echoed the thoughts of the nation with claims they’d “disappear forever” if they featured in footage anything like the Michael Clarke, Jade Yarbrough scandal doing the rounds today.

Speaking on KIIS FM this morning, shock jock Sandilands — who is close friends with both Clarke and Today host Karl Stefanovic, also seen in the footage — said he “nearly died” on hearing the news of the wild stoush that broke out earlier this month in a public Noosa park.

In footage from January 10 published by The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday night, Clarke is seen limping topless through the park at night after being slapped by his furious girlfriend Jade, the younger sister of Stefanovic’s wife, Jasmine, over an alleged cheating scandal involving his ex, influencer Pip Edwards.

Jade, 30, is heard screaming: “You f**ked her on December 17 … You f**ked her, you’re a f**king dog.”

Clarke, 41, responds: “Baby you’re wrong, you’re wrong.”

Elsewhere, the former cricketer is heard calling Stefanovic a “c***” as the Today show host wades into the tiff.

It’s understood Pip and Jade had been in contact, sparking the confrontation between Clarke and Jade, who started dating in August last year. The fracas erupted following a dinner at a nearby restaurant with Karl and Jasmine and their celebrity accountant mate Anthony Bell.

Discussing the altercation, which was captured by a bystander, Jackie said her “jaw was to the floor” watching the footage, adding: “This is not the Michael Clarke I know.”

Meanwhile, Kyle claimed he’s “been involved in thousands of fights like that,” while chuckling, “Why are they shirtless in a public park?”

Kyle and Jackie O weighed into the scandal on live radio this morning.

Maintaining that he refused to take sides, he added: “If we all sit around and we think what’s our worst fight we’ve ever ever had with our partner, imagine someone filming that and putting that on The Daily Telegraph … No thanks. I’d disappear forever, you’d never see me again,” he joked.

Jackie agreed, saying she’d “leave the country for two months”.

Discussing Stefanovic's involvement in the drama, the radio hosts speculated that he was just trying to “diffuse” the situation.

“Who wants to get up and shoehorn themselves into someone else’s argy bargy? I think Karl was walking away,” said Kyle, adding: “I hope they all do alright.”

The radio hosts ended the discussion by expressing sympathy for those involved.

It comes after Clarke’s ex, Pip, released a biting statement this morning.

“This is not my circus,” Pip said. “Yet again, Michael in his true nature has not taken responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to.”

Meanwhile, Clarke told The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday night: “I accept full responsibility for this altercation and am shattered by my actions”.

The screaming match took place in front of multiple people in a park, about 9.30pm, and was so confronting that an onlooker could be heard yelling “there’s children over there” as they encouraged the group to take the fight elsewhere.

The witness who filmed the fight said he was first alerted to the drama when he spotted Clarke and Stefanovic in a heated exchange.

The cricket TV commentator-turned breakfast radio host was reportedly introduced to Jade through Stefanovic last year.

Their relationship came eight months after Clarke’s brief romance with Pip, who he dated after splitting from wife Kyly.

Clarke and his first wife Kyly share one child together, daughter Kelsey-Lee.
