THE newly renovated Char Restaurant has reopened for the first time since coronavirus hit.
The up-market restaurant’s new owners, Hamish and Georgia Brett, had the venue upgraded during the closure with new airconditioning, a paint job and ceiling and outdoor repairs.
Manager Elle Kearns said they were looking forward to welcoming back customers after such a long hiatus.

Executive chef Richard Brown said the restaurant had “elevated” the standard of their food offering, alongside the classic steaks options Char customers loved.
“The quality of the meats are exceptional,” he said.

“I’ve done my best to source what we can from everywhere, especially in this post-COVID environment.”
Mr Brown said for fine dining options people could go upstairs in Admiralty House to the Darwin Club, which started operating last September.
