A SALTWATER croc has been caught and relocated after it was spotted stalking dogs as their owners walked them along a popular Darwin beach.

Leanyer resident Marion Davey said she was walking her dog along Lee Point beach on Monday morning when she came across a cheeky 1.5m croc.

She said a Territory Wildlife Ranger was called to relocated the saltie from the popular beach.

“Fortunately the ranger got to the crocodile on Lee Point beach before my optimistic dog did!” Ms Davey said.
