Woman forces whole plane to get removed after refusing to comply with exit row instructions

A woman on board a plane allegedly said five words that soon resulted in the entire aircraft being disembarked back into the airport terminal.

A woman’s refusal to comply with exit row instructions has resulted in an entire plane-load of passengers being booted back into the airport terminal.

Frustrated passengers were heard jeering and shouting at the woman, after she allegedly told cabin crew she would not help save anyone in case of an emergency, and would prioritise saving herself, before yelling at a flight staff.

The ordeal, which was caught on camera and posted to TikTok by the account Travel by Tia, initially showed the woman in conversation with a cabin crew member on board the Frontier flight.

The passenger can the be seen and heard progressively raising her voice to cabin crew, with fellow flyers pleading with the woman to disembark the plane.

The TikToker who filmed the altercation claims the woman said she was “not going to save anybody” when seated in the exit row.

The videographer alleged the disgruntled passenger had “attitude” and went on to say that if something were to happen, she would “save” herself.

“That was her attitude throughout the seating process. And I already knew something was about to pop off when she had that attitude,” the TikTok user said.

It is understood the woman failed to comply with the exit row instructions.

Police were called following the ordeal, and appeared to remove the woman from the aircraft.

The altercation between the woman and the cabin crew appears to escalate when multiple members from the airline plead with the woman to disembark the plane.

The woman jumps on her phone, claiming to call her lawyer, before more staff intervene and call for calm.

Before police arrive, the captain can be heard over the loud speaker informing passengers of why the plane is yet to depart.

“Ladies and gentleman, we’ll be underway here shortly, we gotta take care of this issue. Law enforcement will be arriving.”

The video then shows another Frontier employee, dressed in a fluoro green shirt approach the passenger.

The pilot tried to reason with the woman to step off the plane.

“I’m gonna ask you one more time, nicely, to get off, if not, we’re going to deboard the plane and police will come and escort you off,” he says in a calm tone.

The passenger fires back while holding her phone to her ear.

“Because we didn’t do anything wrong and they asked us to agree (to being in an exit row) and we did.

“Ma’am, I understand, but we’ll talk about it outside,” the male employee presses.

“But what are we getting deboarded,” the passenger then asks.

“My grandson is in Texas getting out of school at three o’clock.”

The woman walked off the plane via a separate exit with police.

The whole plane was forced off following the incident.

The Frontier employee repeatedly pleads with the passenger to step outside the aircraft to discuss, but has no success.

So the pilot has a go at trying to reason with the woman.

“You’re inconveniencing everybody else,” the pilot can be heard saying to the woman. as the pair continue to exchange words while he repeatedly points toward the front of the plane.

Following the failed attempts, two police officers then make their way down the aisle and towards the passenger.

Towards the end of the five-minute video, which has been viewed more than 80,000 times on TikTok, all the passengers on board the flight were filmed disembarking the aircraft while the passenger at the centre of the ordeal exits with police from a separate door onto the tarmac.

It is unclear if charges were laid.
