Virgin Australia has just announced another big sale with airfares starting from $86, one way.
The sale is on now until midnight AEST October 26 and will see heavily discounted seats on a variety of domestic routes.
The cheapest is a flight from Brisbane to Proserpine in the Whitsunday region for $86 one-way on Economy Lite and from Sydney to Launceston in Tasmania for the same price.
Those wanting to travel from Brisbane to Newcastle will see flights from $95, while those wanting to explore Hamilton Island will see airfares drop to $119.
Passengers who are part of the airline’s Velocity Frequent Flyer Loyalty program will also be able to double Status Credits on eligible bookings until October 30, 2023.
“The much-anticipated Velocity double Status Credits offer will help the loyalty program’s almost 12-million members climb the status ranks faster,” a Virgin Australia spokesperson said.
“Flying with Gold or Platinum Status comes with a range of perks, including Lounge access, priority boarding, seat selection and higher checked baggage allowances.”
Meanwhile, other discounted routes in the sale include Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast from $125, Brisbane to Townsville from $166 and Adelaide to Perth from $200.
Those who purchase discounted flights will need to travel between January 2024 and June 2024.
It’s the second biggest sale in a week for the airline after it dropped prices to international destinations such as New Zealand to $425 from Melbourne — and flights to Bali reduced to $449 from both Adelaide and the Gold Coast.
The sale ended on Tuesday, just a day after it announced its new three-day sale.
