Virgin Australia sale to domestic and international destinations
Virgin Australia has just announced a major sale on more than 500,000 domestic and international seats with airfares starting from just $45.
Virgin Australia has dropped the prices on more than 500,000 seats with domestic fares to start from $45 and international prices as low as $425.
The airline made the announcement on Tuesday, revealing flights to popular locations like the Sunshine Coast from Sydney have been reduced to just $69 (one way), costing passengers a total of $138 for Economy Lite fares.
There are also one-way flights to Launceston in Tasmania from $59, also one way from Sydney, with the cheapest ticket to Ballina Byron, from $45, costing $90 for a return.
“2024 is just around the corner and now is the time to plan ahead and score a bargain airfare with over half a million seats now available from just $45 one-way,” Virgin Australia chief commercial officer Dave Emerson said.
The sale is on now until midnight AEST Monday, October 23 2023, for select travel dates between January 16 and August 29, 2024.
Hamilton Island fares are also reduced with flights from Sydney starting from $125 for both directions, while Sydney to Cairns will cost from $129.
Those travelling from Canberra to the Gold Cost or Melbourne, prices are from $99 and $109 (one way) respectively.
“Australians are looking to drive their dollar further in the current environment and this sale is giving them hundreds of thousands of great-value opportunities to travel to their favourite holiday spots next year,” Mr Emerson said.
“With every single Virgin Australia route now on sale, popular destinations can be booked for less than the cost of a taxi ride, so we are encouraging travellers to get in fast as these incredible fares will not last long.”
But it’s not just domestic airfares that are on sale — those looking to head overseas to places such as New Zealand, Bali, Fiji, Samoa and Japan can also expect heavily reduced tickets on Economy Lite fares.
Those keen to explore Queenstown, the adrenaline capital of New Zealand, can do so from $425 return from Melbourne or $445 return from Sydney.
Flights to Bali have also been reduced to $449 from both Adelaide and the Gold Coast.
Meanwhile, flights to Fiji and Vanuatu from Brisbane will cost from $509 and $569 respectively, while flights to Cairns to Haneda (Tokyo) are now from $699.
Virgin Australia sale fares include Velocity Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits.
