Qantas has just dropped a huge sale across its domestic network with flights starting from $109.
The national carrier has discounted one million seats to more than 60 destinations as part of a week-long domestic Australia Red Tail sale.
More than thirty of the routes are on sale for under $150 one way including Launceston to Melbourne ($119), Brisbane to Sydney ($135) and Cairns to Townsville ($139).
The travel period is from November 2024 to June 2025 and sale fares are available until 11.59pm (AEDT) October 9, or unless sold out prior.
The fares also include checked baggage, complimentary food and beverages, free Wi-Fi and seat selection.
The cheapest route is from Ballina to Sydney with a one-way ticket costing $109 – and the same price for the Gold Coast to Sydney.
Sydneysiders wishing to explore Hobart can nab a fare for $159, while those in Adelaide hoping for a trip to Kangaroo Island can do so for $149.
The sale comes as the airline made a host of new announcements, including its new Broome regional lounge and campaign to boost capacity across its US network and also a new jumobojet to provide Aussies with more flight options when travelling to Africa.
Due to open in December, the new Broome lounge will be double the capacity of the existing lounge following strong demand from premium travellers to the area, in addition to the expansion of the airport terminal.
The airline also revealed that for the first time in a decade, it will launch a brand new campaign in the North American market as demand for travel between the US and Australia continues to grow.
The campaign, featuring academy Award-nominated writer, producer and director Baz Luhrmann, celebrates 70 years of Qantas flying to North America this year as it invests in new aircraft and routes servicing the US, including Project Sunrise non-stop flights which are expected to take-off between Sydney and New York in 2026.
On Tuesday, it also revealed the first ever A380 flights between Australia and South Africa have taken off.
The A380 will fly up to six times per week and will see a near-doubling of capacity, with an extra 130,000 seats between Australia and Africa every year.
