Qatar Airways launched its first service in Australia 15 years ago and to celebrate the milestone it has announced an epic sale.
The Doha-based carrier has dropped the airfare to a bunch of its most popular destinations including Nice, London, Dublin, Lisbon, New York and Seychelles.
The sale is on now until September 30, 2024 for travel between October 1, 2024 to June 10, 2025.
Some of its stand-out offers include economy class flights from Sydney to London from $1849, or business class from $8189.
Those in Melbourne wanting to head to Nice in France can do so from $1849 or on business class from $8099.
If New York has been on your radar, there’s flights starting from $1839 from Brisbane or $7859 if you prefer the pointy end. The fares include taxes, fees and airport surcharges.
Qatar Airways offers services to more than 49 destinations from Australia across Europe and the United Kingdom, 29 destinations across Africa, 33 destinations across the Middle East and 13 destinations across North and South America.
It was voted the World’s Best Airline for 2024 in the annual Skytrax’s World Airline Awards in June, for a record-breaking eighth time.
The major carrier also cleaned up in three other categories - World’s Best Business Class, World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge and Best Airline in the Middle East.
And if that’s not enough, it was also awarded the best airline in the world in the AirlineRatings.com awards in May.
“This is a proud moment for Qatar Airways. I am honoured to share this award with my dedicated team,” Qatar Airways group chief executive officer, Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said at the Skytrax event in London.
“This award is a testimony to our relentless commitment to providing unparalleled service and innovation. We look forward to continuing to serve our customers with the highest level of excellence.”
The Skytrax awards are based on the votes of travellers across over 100 nationalities. The online customer survey was done from September 2023 to May 2024, and any airline in the world can be nominated.
Survey entries are screened to identify IP and user information, with all duplicate, suspect or ineligible entries deleted.
