World’s best airline expands luxurious menu item beyond first class
The world’s best airline is expanding a luxurious menu offering that was previously only found in first class.
Qatar Airways is taking its business class up a level.
The Doha-based airline is introducing a luxury food offering previously found only in first class to its business class menu: caviar.
The delicacy will be available on selected routes, including its services between Doha and Melbourne and Sydney, the airline revealed on Wednesday.
Qatar Airways once again reclaimed the title of world’s best airline in the annual Skytrax’s World Airline Awards this year, dubbed “the Oscars of the aviation industry”, returning to the top for an unprecedented eighth time.
It also took out the title of world’s best business class for the eleventh time, but despite the accolades, the airline is not stopping.
“The introduction of caviar service, commonly available only in first class cabins, further elevates Qatar Airways’ award-winning business class experience,” Xia Cai, Qatar Airways’ senior vice president product development and design, said in a statement.
“We are committed to continuously enhance our on-board services to elevate the industry’s standards and delight our passengers.”
Passengers flying business class on Qatar have on-demand dining, which means they can eat at their preferred meal time.
Caviar can be ordered as a stand-alone option or part of the on-board meal courses.
Other routes caviar will be available on include between Doha and Boston, Dallas, Hong Kong, Houston, London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Sao Paulo, Singapore and Washington.
