A TRIO of swimmers, a cyclist and a triathlete are all in the running for one of the top accolades at the Australian Paralympic Awards
The finalists for the awards have been unveiled with seven awards to be presented on the night, including Female Paralympian of the Year.
Swimmers Maddison Elliott, Lakeisha Patterson and Ellie Cole have all be nominated.
Multiple cycling gold medallist Carol Cooke is also a finalist along with Katie Kelly who won gold on para-triathlons debut at the Paralympics earlier this year.

Male Paralympian of the Year finalists are Dylan Alcott (wheelchair tennis), Curtis McGrath (Para-canoe), Scott Reardon (Para-athletics), James Turner (Para-athletics) and Ryley Batt (wheelchair rugby).
