Solskjaer optimistic on De Gea, coy about Maguire

Manchester United head into their friendly against Leeds in Perth with a question mark remaining over the future of their champion goalkeeper but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says any announcement will have to come from the player himself.

Liverpool go top but need favour from old foe

Liverpool has regained its place at the top of the EPL with a 2-0 win to restore its two-point lead over Manchester City, but the side which could help it win the title suffered a humiliating loss.

Mourinho out: Is Gunnar back in?

Manchester United have sacked manager Jose Mourinho, and later in the day the Premier League giant appeared to accidentally announce his replacement on its website.

Mourinho exit a long time coming

The relationship between Manchester United and its surly manager Jose Mourinho was damaged beyond repair and being brushed aside by Liverpool was the final straw.

City adds to United’s pain with derby thrashing

As if things couldn’t get any worse for Manchester United, the Red Devils have been handed a 3-1 derby defeat and are now 12 points behind the top of the table Manchester City. But the bad news doesn’t stop there.

Mourinho buys time with miracle win

JOSE Mourinho was given a stay of execution as Manchester United staged a stirring fightback to beat Newcastle 3-2 while Tottenham recovered from their European misery with a 1-0 victory over Cardiff.

Mourinho on Pogba: ‘He didn’t play well’

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has dismissed media speculation of a rift with Paul Pogba as a “big lie” and says that the midfielder is well aware of the need to improve following a series below-par displays.
