A number of well-known South Australians and their furry friends are in the running for the most adorable calendar of the year — posing up for a good cause.

While local chef Simon Bryant has others eating out of his hand, it’s a different star treatment for his dog Sidney in the photos taken by Dannielle Macpherson for local charity Paws for Change.

Paws for Change founder Annie Leo, who also features in the calendar with her son Dylan and daughter Amy — and their three dogs Ollie, Fudge and Ferdie — said the funds raised through the sale of the $15 calendar ($10 at the Royal Show pet centre) would go towards two global organisations’ efforts to help dogs.

“This is about us doing everything we can, with a bit of fun, for dogs in need.

“I have seen what the Bali Rescue Dog Squad and Fight Dog Meat are doing to help save dogs and a hundred per cent of these proceeds are going to help their efforts,” she told The Advertiser.

“I can’t be thankful enough the voluntary support by photographer Danielle and everyone else that gave so freely of their time and passion for this cause,” she said.

The calendar can be bought via the Paws for Change website.
