Radio star Mel Greig admits ex-husband Steven Pollock’s affairs left her heartbroken

RADIO presenter Mel Greig says her ex-husband Steven Pollock’s infidelity “absolutely broke my heart” but she has since moved on with her life.

RADIO presenter Mel Greig says her ex-husband Steven Pollock’s infidelity with multiple women “absolutely broke my heart”, but she has since moved on with her life.

Adelaide girl Mel has revealed Steven confessed about a year ago to cheating on her with multiple women during their relationship and marriage, which played a “huge part” in their split.

Mel says the pair, whose divorce was finalised only a fortnight ago, tried to keep the reasons behind their break-up a secret, but a couple of girls approached her and other publications, after news of Steven’s new relationship with Kristen Whitaker was revealed in Confidential.

“Steven and I dealt with it privately, but I didn’t want our friends and family to hear about it from someone looking for their 15 minutes of fame, most had no idea that it had happened and ideally we would have kept it that way,” Mel tells Confidential.

“It absolutely broke my heart but time heals all, I’ve dealt with it and moved on.”

Mel Greig has come forward about her marriage break-up to stop other women “selling their story”.

It’s understood the first infidelity allegedly happened in 2013, about six months after Mel’s royal prank scandal and before Steven proposed to the former Amazing Race Australia contestant.

Mel told Seven’s The Daily Edition she has come forward to stop the other women from “selling their story”.

“I am aware of it, he is aware of it. He is sorry for it, he is not proud of it. There is no point, leave it be,” she says.

Then: Mel Greig and Steven Pollock in happier times.

“I did not want to drag him through the mud. If someone wants to control my story, I don’t want that. Now I am in a position where I need to talk about it.”

Mel and Steven married in November 2014, with Mel announcing their separation in April 2016 on TV show Studio 10, while Steven was on holidays with friends in Nepal.

Steven declined to comment on Thursday.
