Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough spotted heading off to Mexico for wedding
Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough were spotted at Sydney airport before they jet off to Mexico for their lavish wedding.
Karl Stefanovic and his bride-to-be Jasmine Yarbrough arrived at Sydney airport on Sunday morning, set to fly out to Mexico for their lavish December 8 wedding.
Flying with them are Karl’s two youngest children to his first wife, Cassandra Thorburn - Ava, 13, and River, 12.
The guest list reportedly includes many well known Australians, such as James Packer, Julie Bishop and her boyfriend David Panton, Richard Wilkins, Tim Gilbert, Sylvia Jeffreys and of course, Karl’s brother, Peter.
As for the wedding, it will be held at the luxurious One and Only resort in Los Cabos.
Surprisingly, Karl’s former Today co-host Lisa Wilkinson did not get an invite to the wedding, despite Karl saying he had “nothing but love for Lisa”, upon her departure from Channel Nine.
Following Karl’s high profile split from his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn, he met Jasmine, a Brisbane native shoe designer, on a boat cruise in December 2016.
Jasmine is a designer for the luxury footwear brand, Mara & Mine. The brand launched in 2013, with fellow stylist Tamie Ingham and stars like Kendall Jenner and Margot Robbie have been spotted wearing Jasmine’s designs.
While the Australia media will be buzzing, hoping to snap a picture of the wedding, Karl revealed to The Fix there would be no media deal, meaning no exclusive magazine spread of the big day.
The two sealed their love at a commitment ceremony back in March this year at a private house in Palm Beach.
“We are very much in love. We clicked right from the start,” Karl told The Sunday Telegraph, following the ceremony.
“It’s a commitment ceremony. It was lovely.”
The ceremony was not legally binding and was only witnessed by immediate family and their closest friends.
Both Karl and Jasmine are from Queensland and Karl revealed “elements” of the wedding would be specific to the sunshine state.
Speaking exclusively to The Sunday Mail Karl said the wedding marks the time in his life he puts all controversy and media scrutiny behind him.
“We’re going to get on with life and we’re going to get on with work,” he said.
