Louise Owen, a fashion designer from Brisbane, has tragically lost her only son.
Jackson Taylor Owen passed away on November 17 at the age of 23, the Courier Mail reports.
His exact cause of death is not yet known.
His grieving mother took to social media to share the heartbreaking news on Thursday.
“With a huge hole and loss left in my heart, we have to say goodbye to our beautiful son Jackson Taylor Owen,” Mrs Owen wrote.
“There are no words to describe how we feel … however our love for Jackson will go on forever and he will never be forgotten.
“Jackson you have a Huge Heart and a Love that is so Big … your smile and laughter is infectious. You are a true gentlemen, so loving, loyal, generous and caring.
“For those who know how Big your heart is and how much you Love … it is a privilege and honour to have received this precious gift from you.”
She said her son was a handsome, gifted, intelligent young man who was also a talented sportsman with a soft spot for animals.
“You have taught us so much is such a short time … how to always be kind, loving and caring to everyone. How to treat everyone equally and with dignity and respect,” she shared.
“You have such a gorgeous cool, stylish swagger about you that shows your love for all of the finer things in life.”
Mrs Owen said he was never one to want “a big fuss” so they are going to hold “a little fuss” for him to commemorate his life.
“We will LOVE and MISS You Forever My Darling,” she concluded.
The post was flooded with messages of condolences from friends and family.
Mrs Owen is an artist who ventured into fashion design last year, launching her first collection under her label, Elaurante.
