Aussie supermodel Elle Macpherson has reminded everyone why she is called “The Body” with a series of new bikini photos.

She was given the nickname back in 1989 by Time magazine after she appeared on their cover, aged 25.

Fast-forward 31 years and the Aussie beauty has continued to uphold her reputation sharing a series of bikini snaps to her Instagram Stories that show off her age-defying looks.

She flaunted her toned figure wearing a khaki bikini from sustainable swimwear brand Abysse as she posed in two mirror selfies.

The 56-year-old teamed the look with a fresh face, voluminous natural waves and simple gold jewellery.

In one of the photos she gave a cheeky look as she glanced over her shoulder.

“I’m surrounded by wonderfully talented (and) creative women founders in business,” Macpherson captioned the first photo.

“This little company @abysseofficial makes recycled swimwear – I love this mother daughter business – check them out. They’re one of my favourites.”

Macpherson recently shared another age-defying post with fans quick to point out: “This is why she’s The Body!”

The images showed the mother-of-two in a silver triangle bikini top, oversized jeans and black sunglasses.

“You’ve always been my inspiration. You are absolutely beautiful,” one follower wrote.

“Looking absolutely fabulous,” said another while a third person simply commented: “The Body!”

In an interview with Victoria’s Secret model Georgia Fowler, Macpherson, who is the owner of Welleco, said she relies on (3 litres of) water a day, exercise, sunshine (20 minutes a day) and laughter to make her feel and look her best.

The entrepreneur also revealed she loves to swim, hike, surf and do yoga.

She’s not the only model to have caused a stir over the weekend.

Heidi Klum, 47, showed off her incredibly toned figure in a semi-nude snap.

The America’s Got Talent judge took to Instagram on Saturday sharing with her more than seven million followers a photo of herself wearing nothing but snake print bikini bottoms.

She had her wet hair combed back as she peered over her shoulder while watering the garden for the shot.

The Instagram Story was followed by another snap, this time of Klum wearing a black and white lace bra.

It’s not the first time the mother-of-four has set temperatures soaring.

Last week she posed naked behind a curtain for a photo taken by her musician husband, Tom Kaulitz, 31.

She stood with her arms out and looked down as she pressed her chest against the sheer blinds.

She simply captioned it “Mondazzzze” followed by love heart and smiley face emojis.
