Supermodel Heidi Klum cops flak for topless selfie
She’s currently enjoying a long honeymoon in Italy, but one of her snaps from the luxury jaunt has ruffled feathers among her fans.
While social media has many benefits, such as keeping in touch with friends and family, budget advertising for small businesses and hilarious videos of cats terrified by cucumbers — there’s also the totally diabolical side.
Sadly, supermodel Heidi Klum is currently experiencing that mega drawback despite trying to live her best life aboard a luxury yacht.
The 46-year-old shared some snaps from her Italian honeymoon with new husband Tom Kaulitz, rubbing some Instagram users up the wrong way with a topless photo.
She also risked a ban from Instagram because of the service’s strict community guidelines on nudity.
“All I see is WATER,” she captioned the photo that showed her wrapped in a towel, her hair blowing in the sea air — with a glimmer of her nipple exposed.
Like, a really tiny amount of nipple, so small you have to really be looking for it to see it.
Despite it being a totally normal part of the human anatomy, some fans have taken offence to Klum not covering up the nipple, calling it a cry for attention.
“All I see is midlife a crisis,” one follower scoffed.
“Yes you are beautiful, but I still do not want to see everything of you,” another remarked.
“Could you ever behave like an adult woman?” one person fumed.
Another clapped back: “It’s getting too crazy with her.”
But it seems the majority of her 6.6 million followers didn’t have time for the “nonsense”, mocking those who had been upset by her flash of nudity.
“Imagine being triggered by nipples. Wow. Such obscenity. Y’all need to calm down and stop making a huge deal of women’s bodies. Period,” one wrote.
“#nipplealarm,” one laughed, along with several laughing face emojis. “We love a confident woman!”
“A very nice picture Heidi. We’ve all seen each other before, move on,” another commented.
The risque snap has received more than 445,000 likes since it was shared on Sunday, further suggesting no one is paying much attention to the German model’s trolls.

She’s not the only supermodel who has copped it from heavy-fingered keyboard warriors recently, with Cindy Crawford being targeted earlier this month.
The 53-year-old American supermodel became the subject of awful comments after sharing a bikini-clad photo of herself, causing a few to get their claws out.
“You are old now. I don’t think you are living in reality,” one user wrote.
“Getting a little old for this …”, another commenter said, adding a cringing emoji.
While Crawford — who was one of the most popular models of the ’80s and ’90s, appearing on the cover of many magazines including Vogue, Elle and Cosmopolitan — didn’t respond to the cruel comments, her adoring fans were quick to defend her, much like Crawford’s.
Luckily, Klum — who as well as being a world-class model has also hosted TV shows, earned an Emmy nomination and starred in several movies — hasn’t appeared to take any notice of the social media drama, sharing several bikini-clad happy snaps from her getaway.
Previously, Klum was married to singer Seal, though the pair divorced in 2014, two years after separating. They were married for nine years.
