New photos taken of the site of the upcoming series of The Block have exposed a huge clue about what viewers can expect from the latest run.

It looks as though this will be the toughest year for contestants yet, with five seemingly very large and luxurious country abodes set to hit auction later this year.

All five of the builds feature a modern three-building design, with different zones of the home joined by a central space.

The up-market Victorian country town of Daylesford, located around 90 minutes from Melbourne, was chosen as the location for The Block 2025.

Last year, the show saw numerous walkouts and tantrums as the workload became too much for contestants to handle. Despite the chaos both on and off-screen, this year’s super-sized homes are no doubt set to keep this year’s pairs on their toes.

The initial plans to build the five homes were submitted to Hepburn Shire Council were delayed when objections were made from numerous local residents.

The delay, which forced the show to move to Phillip Island in 2024, has now been resolved and the new homes will form part of a carbon-neutral neighbourhood called Middleton Field.

Filming is set to commence later this year.

It comes after The Block revealed a new lucrative partnership between the reality show and the hardware giant, Bunnings Warehouse.

“Our team can’t wait to support contestants through their 12-week home renovation journey and hopefully inspire viewers to get stuck into their own projects,” said Bunnings managing director Mike Schneider.

“When we were presented with the opportunity to partner with The Block, we jumped at the chance to provide 2025 contestants with everything they need from the front gate to the back fence.”

As part of the new sponsorship, a Bunnings store included on the site featuring a plant nursery will be there for contestants to grab last minute supplies and get advice from experts.
