UK Big Brother co-host breaks silence after star Mickey Rourke grabbed her in awkward live TV moment
Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke has been slammed over his inappropriate antics towards a TV host live on-air.
British television presenter AJ Odudu has broken her silence after being grabbed by Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke the live launch show for Celebrity Big Brother this week.
The stunning presenter, 37, returned to social media for the first time since the uncomfortable incident saw the Hollywood hellraiser slammed by viewers over his inappropriate antics.
The British star referenced the awkwardness, writing: “The return of CBB with the most major line-up and interesting encounters.”
She then added a winking emoji with its tongue sticking out.
Odudu went on to thank fans for their support in the wake of the incident, but remained upbeat about the rest of the run.
“Thanks for all your lovely messages. This series is going to be [fire emoji].
Rourke shocked fans of the UK reality show when he looked Odudu up and down before entering the house.
He then said “nice outfit” while leering at her.
Moments earlier, he grabbed hold of her and twirled her around, bumping her into him.
His behaviour forced her to tell him to stop.
Odudu and co-host Will Best then had to push Rourke inside the house as he high-fived fans instead of walking through the famous doors, risking making the live show run over.
“Why are they brushing over Mickey being pervy,” one viewer raged on X.
“Can we all agree we’re voting Mickey out this week?” ranted a second.
In the spin-off program Big Brother: Late & Live, Odudu also referenced what had gone down. Guest Alan Carr joked the Nine 1/2 Weeks actor’s “tongue was hanging out”.
He said: “Can we talk about Mickey Rourke looking at you? Wow his eyes.
“Find someone who looks at you the way Mickey looks at you [AJ]. His tongue was hanging out.”
Odudu replied: “It literally was. I was like ‘You can’t afford these feathers Mickey, no’.”
While Odudu showed calm under pressure, The Sun revealed earlier that she took some time to compose herself off camera after it all went down.
An insider said: “When it became clear that Mickey was being inappropriate and looking down at AJ’s bum the atmosphere in the crowd quickly changed.
“She was able to handle it like a pro but it was clear his behaviour took her by surprise.
“AJ was visibly stunned when she first left the stage but then quickly had to boot Mickey into the house as he took his time going in.
