Tears over Block star’s angry walk-out

There was more turmoil on The Block in Monday’s episode when contestant Kylie deepened her ongoing rift with sisters Maddy and Charlotte, storming out of a group dinner they were hosting at their house.
The dinner quickly turned sour as discussion turned to the previous night’s activity: Block host Scott Cam had organised a screening of the first episode of the season for the contestants, days before it was due to air on screens.
Kylie and Brad had opted out of that screening, with Kylie seen vehemently refusing to attend.
The screening was the first time the contestants had seen footage of themselves on The Block – and for some, it was confronting viewing.
Maddy and Charlotte got just a glimpse of what to expect on screens in the weeks ahead, as the season opener teased some of the negative reaction they’ve copped from the existing teams – often behind their backs.
One big sticking point for the other teams: Maddy and Charlotte’s “failure” to tell them that, among other jobs, they flip houses (this, despite the sisters being shown on camera telling contestant Mimi exactly that on their first day).
Over dinner, the sisters once more attempted to explain themselves, more than five weeks into their time on The Block. But Kylie, their most vocal critic, quickly decided she’d had enough and walked out.
“Conversation kept going around in circles. It wasn’t going anywhere and I couldn’t deal with it anymore, so I left,” she said in a piece to camera, insisting she was taking the “mature stance” in leaving and labelling the sisters “immature.”
“I don’t need to deal wih f**king liars anymore,” she said as she left.
Her partner Brad was shown hurriedly following her out of the dinner and back to their house, where the conversation continued.
“I’m not going sit there and have them blatantly lie to my face,” Kylie fumed.

“No, you did the right thing. I was f**king jack of it, too,” he said.
The walkout left the sisters close to tears, saying they felt “so sad” the couple hadn’t even given them the chance to explain themselves.
Elsewhere this week, Maddy and Charlotte copped a hiding from the judges over their guest bedroom and laundry – with Shaynna Blaze singling out one particularly “nasty” detail in a withering critique.
