MAFS couple Tamara and Brent are continuing to navigate their clashing values — with Brent left shocked by Tamara asserting she wouldn’t date someone with an “ugly car” or “without a good job” in her audition tape aired during Tuesday’s episode.

Tamara set Twitter alight during her wedding after declaring retail workers not good enough for her, leaving husband Brent and his best man Levi deeply unimpressed.

While Tamara and Brent have successfully moved on from the moment and pushed forward with their marriage, a glimpse into Tamara’s audition for the Channel 9 show momentarily took Brent right back to where they started.

Tamara also said her friends would describe her as a “bitch” in her audition.

“I think I have a lot of confidence in myself and I do think that I’m a catch,” the 29-year-old was filmed saying as she began to list the attributes she looks for in a partner.

“I’m really fussy now with what I want. I definitely don’t wanna be with someone who doesn’t have a good career or has no money … If a guy wears fake designer clothes. If they drive a really ugly car and they don’t have a good job or money, unfortunately, I’m just so not interested,” she confessed.

Stunned by the comments, Brent uttered to his wife on the couch beside him: “What did I just watch?

“I can’t take you seriously watching that … That’s not a down-to-earth person, you realise that right?” he added to a sheepish Tamara.

“That’s a terrible thing to watch, obviously, coming out of someone’s mouth … Drives a sh*t car? Jeez, that’s horrible,” he continued, adding that he “can’t stand” pretentious people.

Brent was not impressed by the tape.

Trying to explain herself, Tamara responded: “I get it … I sound like a d**khead. That even made me feel awkward to watch,” before getting up from the couch and bursting into tears to the camera.

“I know I talk about money, but it’s not about that,” she sobbed.

“I don’t want to have to look after people anymore. I don’t want to have a guy come in and just use me.”

Explaining herself to Brent, he eventually realises that the Tamara in the audition wasn’t “the real her”, and they make up, later telling producers they had their first “intimate” night together.

Elsewhere, flailing couple Samantha and Al were faced with the most ruthless challenge of the entire series: Ranking the other contestants by their attractiveness.

Stepping up to the plate, 25-year-old Al started by placing Holly and Domenica at the lower end, commenting that Holly is “too old” for him.

“I don’t like short hair … Short hair is a bit of a turn off … so don’t cut your hair,” he explained of Domenica’s low placement.

Putting Selin at the front of the pack, he remarked: “The MILF is first, when I heard she’s got kids I was like ‘ooft’”.

Samantha — perturbed by his use of the phrase “MILF” — starts off by putting 26-year-old Mitch last.

“He’s just too pretty boy for me, he looks like his shirts are too tight,” she said.

Poor Al came in at equal third in Samantha’s “hot list”.

Turning to fresh-faced Al, she said of her “attractive” picks: “Everyone with facial hair – they are all really good looking.

“Mr Blue Steel with the accent … he’s first,” she added, giving number one to 39-year-old Texan Andrew.

“They’re more my type right, they’re older, more rugged,” the 27-year-old told her husband of having the men in their late 30s at the top of her list.

“I feel like he’s lived … you know? He’d have good stories to tell,” she added, going on to place Al in equal standing at spot three.

“I just feel like you’re not my type …,” she explained to a crestfallen Al, who in turn put Sam first and said she was “definitely the hottest chick here”.

Clearly disappointed by the exercise, Al went on to tell producers: “(Sam) put the guys who are more mature at the top. She mentioned they’re a bit older, a bit more established … It’s definitely concerning because I’m not really established, I still live with my mum.”
