Kyle Sandilands reveals which A-list celebrity he ‘hated’

He’s interviewed many stars over the years, but shock jock Kyle Sandilands says one A-lister stands out as his most “hated”.

Kyle Sandilands has dubbed one of Hollywood’s biggest stars an “a**hole” after an awkward interview several years ago.

The 50-year-old radio host and his co-star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson have revealed their frosty red carpet chat with then-James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan, who played 007 in four movies from 1995 to 2002.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show today, Jackie said Kyle and Pierce got off on the wrong foot when the shock jock asked a false question.

“We were on the red carpet, and Kyle’s first question to Pierce was, ‘Why do you reckon there’s been no Australians doing James Bond?’” Jackie said.

Brosnan was quick to point out to Kyle that his question was wrong, with Australian actor George Lazenby playing the British agent in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in 1969.

Kyle and Jackie O remembered their awkward interview with Pierce Brosnan.

“He (Pierce) goes, ‘Well, how could you not know that, you’re Australian. There is …’ And then he gave a big spiel about it,” Jackie added.

“That’s right. The s**t Bond actor, what was his name, Remington Steel?” Kyle joked.

“What an a**hole that guy was.

“(He gave) a long, toffee nosed answer and I thought, you know what? I can’t stand you mate. Hated him.”

Kyle added: “It wasn’t that he was correcting me, it was the a**hole arrogant attitude.

“As if I give a s**t. As if I should know every man that’s ever played James Bond.”

Kyle is certainly no stranger to awkward celebrity interviews.

In June, he asked NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian about her love life live on-air.

“Can we just move onto matters of state now?” Gladys said at the time.

And then there was the time he pressed renowned artist and John Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, on what her sex life was like with the former Beatles vocalist.

Kyle later admitted he wished he kept his mouth shut in a rare show of regret.

“I’ve been twisted my whole life. This isn’t a new thing. I’ve been doing that forever,” Kyle said to Jackie on-air. “What’s wrong with me?”
