Studio 10 has suffered its worst ratings in history this week, following its bump to a new timeslot and Sarah Harris’ move to The Project.

Studio 10 has suffered all-time low ratings following a major shake-up of the staple Ten program.

The midmorning show, which first launched nine years ago, saw Narelda Jacobs take the helm after farewelling Sarah Harris to The Project late last year, and was moved to a 10am timeslot from its previous 8.30am airtime. It was also reduced from three and a half hours to two hours.

It has suffered less-than-ideal ratings since it launched in the new timeslot on January 9 where it debuted to 19,000 viewers across the five-city audience, news.com.au can confirm.

And last Monday marked an all-time low for the long-running program, with just 10,000 viewers recorded.

Despite the reducing viewership, a Ten spokesperson told news.com.au there were no plans to axe the program.

“Studio 10 is a staple in our daytime program schedule boasting fun, entertaining and engaging content led by a fantastic panel,” a spokesperson said.

The midmorning schedule is a notoriously difficult timeslot to engage audiences. Last year, Studio 10 averaged just 31,000 viewers, which has since dropped further to an average of 21,000 this year.

2022 represented a huge period of change for Ten, with a series of high-profile departures and format shake-ups.

Carrie Bickmore, Lisa Wilkinson and Peter Helliar all announced they would be leaving The Project within weeks of one another late last year. Wilkinson remains with the network, though there’s been no confirmation on what she’ll do next.

Meanwhile, Dr Chris Brown is fronting his last season ofI’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!, which premiered last night to a decent 807,000 national viewers.

Brown has signed a rumoured $1 million contract with rival network, Seven.

The Bachelor also underwent a big change after consistently low ratings, and debuted a reduced-run season of The Bachelors, which featured three men. Its debut episode peaked at 478,000 viewers, the lowest premiere in the franchise’s history.

There are high hopes for the upcoming season of MasterChef Australia, which premieres on May 1 with judges Melissa Leong, Jock Zonfrillo and Andy Allen back in the hot seat.

Ten announced Sunday night their big celebrity guest for the first episode will be British chef, Jamie Oliver.

The network also has plans for a MasterChef spin-off, Dessert Masters, which will premiere later this year.
