Rumours of a Cyrus family feud have been bubbling for over a year, and now, reports have emerged about the shocking reason why.

The once-close Cyrus family have been subject to swirling reports of an internal feud for over a year, and now, shock new claims have emerged about the reason why.

US Weekly reports Tish Cyrus, the ex-wife of Billy Ray Cyrus and mother of pop star Miley, began dating her now husband, Australian actor Dominic Purcell, after he was involved with her 24-year-old daughter, Noah.

The outlet cites a source who claimed “Noah was [seeing] Dominic when Tish started pursuing him,” adding Tish was “fully aware”.

Noah is the youngest child of Billy Ray, 62, and Tish, 56. The exes also share Miley, 31, Brandi, 36, and Trace, 34, [who Billy Ray adopted from Tish’s previous relationship] and Braison, 29.

Shortly after Tish filed for divorce from the Achy Breaky Heart singer in early 2022, it was reported Miley and Billy Ray – who starred on the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana from 2006 until 2011 – had become estranged in the wake of the split.

When Tish married Purcell, of Prison Break fame, in August last year, Noah and brother Braison didn’t attend the wedding. Eyebrows were further raised when Noah was seen out and about the same day wearing a Billy Ray T-shirt.

Miley served as Maid of Honour at the Malibu ceremony, which was also attended by Brandi and Trace.

“The turmoil between Noah and Tish goes far beyond [what people think],” a source continued to the outlet. “Noah is very distraught over Tish stealing Dominic from her.”

The publication adds Noah, Miley, Tish and Purcell didn’t return requests for comment.

Meanwhile, her other two children Noah and Braison Cyrus shared photos hanging out at a Walmart in California on the wedding day.

Noah added fuel to the feud rumours when she publicly called out Miley in October, appearing to call her “disrespectful” in the comments section of a podcast interview that resurfaced on TikTok.

The clip in question showed Miley chatting with controversial podcaster Joe Rogan about her siblings on The Joe Rogan Experience in September 2020.

Rogan asked Miley whether Noah’s experience growing up in her shadow had deterred her from chasing a career in Hollywood.

“You either go one way or the other,” the Flowers singer replied, noting that her younger sibling “wants” a life in the spotlight.

“She’s got a record out that I love called The End of Everything … and it’s the most depressing EP you’ll ever listen to,” Miley went on.

“She’s 20 years old. She’s emo. She’s, like, an emo kid.”

Noah wrote in the comment section, “the disrespect in this video …”

Meanwhile, Billy Ray married Australian musician Firerose in October.

It appeared there were no guests at the small affair.

In Tish’s filing, she claimed the couple had been living apart for two years.

Shortly after the divorce filing, Miley unfollowed her father on Instagram.
