Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, and Australian singer Firerose, 34, marry in Nashville

The US country star, 62, has married 34-year-old Sydney singer Firerose in a small ceremony, with photos doing little to squash rumours of a Cyrus family feud.

Billy Ray Cyrus has married his Australian fiancee in an intimate ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.

The US country star, 62, wed Sydney-born musician Firerose, 34, on Tuesday, with the newlyweds sharing photos of their nuptials on Instagram Thursday.

It’s not known if Billy Ray’s daughter, Miley Cyrus, was in attendance. It appears there were no guests at the small affair amid rumours the famous father-and-daughter-duo are no longer close.

The Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker said the couple’s wedding day was the “most perfect celebration of love.”

“10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony,” Billy Ray wrote, alongside three portraits of the pair.

“It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined.

“For both of us to hear the preacher say, ‘Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus … I now pronounce you husband and wife’ that was the sacred moment our new forever began. Long live love.”

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose were married on Tuesday.

The couple wed in Nashville, Tennessee.

Firerose could be seen wearing a long-sleeve, lace gown, while Billy Ray sported a classic Versace tuxedo.

Billy Ray and Firerose, who began dating in 2021 after collaborating on their song New Day, were engaged in August last year.

The couple had met over a decade earlier on-set of Disney Channel series Hannah Montana when Firerose was in her early 20s. It’s understood she was auditioning to be on the show.

Their engagement came just four months after Billy Ray and his wife of almost three decades, 56-year-old Tish Cyrus, filed for divorce for a third time in the April, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Tish stated in her filing, lodged in Tennessee, that the couple had not lived together for at least two years.

Billy Ray and Firerose began dating in 2021.

Shortly after their divorce was filed, it was reported Miley and Billy Ray, who shot to global superstardom on Hannah Montana in 2006 – in which they played onscreen father and daughter Billy Ray and Miley Stewart – had become estranged in the wake of the divorce.

The pair no longer follow each other on Instagram.

Little is known about Firerose’s upbringing in Australia, with the singer moving to Los Angeles to pursue her career when she was just 19.

Meanwhile, Tish recently married Australian actor Dominic Purcell, of Prison Break fame, in a family affair wedding in Malibu in August.

Miley is very close with her mother.

The duo had been dating since at least November 2022, and became engaged in May this year.

Miley, 30, served as Maid of Honour at the ceremony, which was also attended by Tish’s son Trace Cyrus, 34, and eldest daughter Brandi Cyrus, 36.

In addition to Miley, Trace and Brandi, Tish shares son Braison, 29, and daughter Noah, 23, with Billy Ray.

Braison and Noah weren’t at their mother’s nuptials, and uploaded photos on Instagram at the time hanging out together in Los Angeles while the wedding took place.

The siblings were also photographed by paparazzi visiting a Walmart on the wedding day, where, notably, Noah was seen wearing a Billy Ray T-shirt.

Meanwhile, Purcell, 53, who was raised between Bondi and Penrith, shares four kids with his ex-wife Rebecca Williamson.
