Sam Frost reveals ‘anxiety triggered weight loss’ in worrying Instagram post
After making headlines for her controversial vaccine stance and subsequent backflip, Sam Frost has shared an honest update on her mental health.
Sam Frost has revealed she’s suffered from “anxiety triggered weight loss” after inciting fierce backlash for her anti-vax video last month.
The former Bachelor star, who recently backflipped on her reluctance to vaccinate, took to Instagram with a candid post in which she offered tips on “how to regain your appetite” in times of stress.
“Anything is better than nothing, even if it’s ‘unhealthy’ – McDonald’s Chicken Burgers for me,” the Home and Away actress, who plays Jasmine on the Channel 7 soap, wrote to her 577k followers.
“Start small, small nibbles throughout the day. Create an eating schedule. If you’re struggling to eat, try smoothies,” she continued.
The 32-year-old went on to suggest “eating with a friend [as] social environments can help”.
“Rest and nurture your body. Reduce caffeine. Speak to a psychologist and/or doctor to find the core root of the issue. Be kind and gentle to yourself.”
She concluded by encouraging fans to seek medical advice for further help.
“These are tips from my psych. Remember everyone is different, these may help you. But always speak to your doctor or psychologist for individual health advice.”
Last week, Frost released a new statement weeks after causing significant controversy with her vaccine stance, and just days after Channel 7 announced it was mandating vaccines for all staff.
The former Bachelorette is currently filming the Channel 7 soap in Sydney, revealing her character was being “written out” temporarily to allow for her to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
She added she has a “medical procedure” booked in January so wouldn’t be fully vaccinated until “mid-late February”.
“I will be written out temporarily, Jazzy is going on an off-screen adventure for a few weeks. but I’ll be back,” Frost wrote.
“My bosses are amazing, we’ve been in open communication for months,” she added.
“Very grateful we were able to make a plan that works for everyone.”
It comes after Frost sparked a wave of outrage for an emotional video in which she declared that she was unvaccinated.
She said there were a number of reasons why she wasn’t getting the jab, but preferred to keep it private.
“I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation, a lot of harsh judgment, and it’s taking its toll on my mental health,” Frost said in the since-deleted Instagram video.

“There are a lot of different reasons people aren’t getting vaccinated – and it might be because of their medical history, their concerns they might have, they might have family history, it might be religious reasons, whatever.
“I want to tell those people that feel like they’re getting separated from society – well, I’m not vaccinated, and there’s a reason why I’m not, I’ve spoken to my doctor and my psychologist about it, and I’m going to keep it private.”
Frost had earlier thanked her followers for their “enormous amount of support” in the wake of her video, despite backlash from names including fellow Bachelor star Matt Agnew and the Bachelorette’s Abbie Chatfield, along with Studio 10 hosts Sarah Harris and Beau Ryan.
