Jay Bruno has spilled on his relationship with the former Home And Away star, and explained why he decided to end it.

Sam Frost’s ex-boyfriend Jay Bruno has opened up about his split from the former Home And Away star.

The Melbourne-based personal trainer and reality star, 34, dated the ex-Bachelorette for several months before he ended things, explaining that it “just didn’t work”.

“It is pretty simple, I just guess I couldn’t see a future with her,” Bruno told Sydney Confidential.

“It is never easy to stay friends with someone you dated and I broke up with her so I think it would be unfair for me to hover around and confuse her.

“I have kept my distance. It is obviously hard because you feel for the other person but people just break up sometimes and I didn’t want to lead her on so I have moved on.”

Bruno and Frost dated last year.

Frost has also had relationships with Bachelorette winner Sasha Mielczarek and Dave Bashford in recent years.

Bruno is set to appear on the new season of Ten’s Survivor Australia: Blood vs Water, premiering on Monday, January 31, alongside Frost’s younger brother, Alex.

“I had to have someone that was close to family and at the time he was,” he said.

“It did add an exciting element [being there together] as we didn’t know what was going to happen. It made it a bit more surprising and fun.”

In December, it was revealed Frost would be departingHome And Away after four years.

The shock news came just two months after she made headlines with her very public stance against Covid-19 vaccinations, which caused widespread backlash.

Frost revealed in an emotional video on her Instagram in early October that she had not been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Frost’s video sparked backlash.

She said she “could get into trouble” for revealing her stance on the vaccine, but pleaded for “compassion” and “empathy” for those who have made the same decision as her.

“I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation, a lot of harsh judgment, and its taking its toll on my mental health,” Frost told her 577,000 followers on Instagram.

“There are a lot of different reasons people aren’t getting vaccinated – and it might be because of their medical history, their concerns they might have, they might have family history, it might be religious reasons, whatever.

“I want to tell those people that feel like they’re getting separated from society – well, I’m not vaccinated, and there’s a reason why I’m not.

“I’ve spoken to my doctor and my psychologist about it, and I’m going to keep it private.”
