When it comes to beauty these days, prices can start to add up very quickly. You add a moisturiser, serum and sunscreen to your cart and all of a sudden your order comes to $200 plus.

This is why when huge sales events like Black Friday come around, it pays well to take note.

From expensive big ticket items like LED masks to more affordable buys like a chemist moisturiser, thousands of beauty items have been reduced this week. But most sales end on Cyber Monday, December 2, so if you see something you like you better act fast.

Not sure where to start? I’ve been writing about beauty for years now so I can confidently tell you what is and isn’t a good sale.

This year one of my top picks includes the mega viral, cult COSRX Snail Mucin 92% Repair Cream. Down to just $15.47, it’s hard to look past such an affordable buy that I know will actually help my skin. Five-star reviews say this hero product “makes (their) skin so soft, smooth and glowy”.

Another favourite is the Alpha-H Liquid Gold with 5% Glycolic Acid that’s currently 25 per cent off. For over 25 years, this Aussie buy has had shoppers flocking to it thanks its clinically proven results to increase the skin’s radiance, tone and texture.

A few other top sale picks include 30 per cent off Bescher Beauty Sea Cucumber Collagen Regeneration Serum and 30 per cent off Mermade Hair Interchangeable Blowdry Brush.

You’ve probably seen this moisturiser, or its serum counterpart, on your TikTok and for good reason. This cult product is not only incredibly hydrating but also gentle and soothing too.

OK, now that you’ve repaired your skin barrier with the above serum you can get to work with damaging it with this exfoliating treatment. Just kidding!

Alpha-H’s Liquid Gold with 5% Glycolic Acid has been a bestseller for over 25 years and has been clinically proven to increase luminosity, improve elasticity and even tone and texture.

I’ve been using it on and off for years now and I always notice such a difference in my skin when I do.

Ultra Violette Queen Screen SPF50+ 50ml Luminising Skinscreen, $39 (down from $52) at THE ICONIC

This sunscreen was unavailable for a few months while the brand was reformulating but it’s finally back and better than ever.

I trialled this for our best sunscreens roundup earlier this year and was seriously impressed.

“I’ve been trialling it for a few months now and I can confirm it is just as good as, if not better than, the OG.

“Just like the one you know and love, this Queen Screen still has a silky serum texture that easily melts into the skin, leaves a glowy finish and has that lovely rose scent,” I wrote at the time.

We couldn’t make a best beauty deals list and not include the only and only, Dyson Airwrap. Needing no introduction, if you’re wanting to splurge this Black Friday the Airwrap (or the newly released Airstrait) is the way to go.

And at $649, for a buy that doesn’t go on sale very often, we’re sure this is a buy you absolutely won’t regret.

Sea Cucumber Collagen Regeneration Serum, $83 (down from $119) at Bescher Beauty

Depending how into beauty you are, you may or may not have heard of this best-selling serum. Since it launched in 2019, Aussie brand Bescher Beauty has racked up thousands of fans.

From a waitlist of 30,000 to selling out in just four days, the cult following is no accident and it’s thanks to the company’s hero ingredients, sea cucumber collagen.

The serum is designed to rapidly influence collagen production and boost skin cell turnover, therein improving skin elasticity, tone and texture and reducing inflammation.

I tried this mask out earlier this year and must say I’m happily surprised how well it works.

I found it made my skin a lot brighter, bouncier, more firm and heavily lightened older dark spots from past acne.

A LED mask isn’t cheap so snapping one up when on sale is definitely a good idea.

Constantly topping bestsellers lists, this affordable sunscreen has been a favourite at news.com.au checkout for a long time.

“The TikTok girlies really didn’t lie about this one – it’s truly worth the hype and price, my new holy grail,” wrote Shopping Writer Harriet Amurao in her review.

“It absorbs into the skin really effortlessly, doesn’t leave a white cast and has no unpleasant scent whatsoever.”

This interchangeable blow dry brush comes with three different heads so you can dry, smooth and style your hair all with one tool.

I find blow-dry brushes super easy to use and they’re always the first tool I reach for when styling.

For the Hailey Bieber fans out there, this one is for you.

The model used this tool in a TikTok video that has since rocked up a casual 17.5 million views. The device offers enhanced absorption of your skincare products, improved radiance and elasiticty, pore care and customised LED care.

While it is pricey, it’s currently on sale for over $150 off so if you were thinking about it now is the time to buy.
