How Amazon’s famous $47 tights compare to Lululemon’s leggings

Not to sound demanding, but I expect a lot from my activewear.
Because of this I’ve been happy to fork out money on it over the years, purchasing from brands like Lululemon, Lorna Jane and STAX. who all make high-quality pieces worth investing in.
But I’ll admit I was intrigued that a little-known brand available via Amazon Australia made leggings with thousands of five star reviews from shoppers who claim they are a “perfect dupe” for Lululemon’s much more expensive leggings.
So when the opportunity to test out CRZ YOGA’s famous leggings, I couldn’t pass it up — here’s my honest take.

HOW DO THE CRZ YOGA LEGGINGS FIT?
My first thoughts when they arrived (which was the next day thanks to Amazon’s speedy delivery) was how good the quality was for the price. The stitching, phone pockets and cut were all very similar to more expensive leggings I own, I was honestly blown away.
I’m a size 12 so I settled on a size medium and they fit like a glove. There was no having to squeeze myself into them to get them on but yet they still felt fitted.
HOW DOES CRZ YOGA COMPARE TO LULULEMON?
My job is all about trialling and reviewing products, so a lot of things come across my desk that claim to be as good as premium priced product but don’t deliver.
So when it came to do this review I had a healthy dose of scepticism about reviewer claims that they were on par with Lululemon’s leggings.
But after multiple wears in the past six weeks — honestly — they are. I don’t mean to repeat myself but the quality is just like nothing else I’ve seen at that price point for leggings. It’s lovely, thick material that holds you in while still having plenty of stretch and movement.
While many reviewers say they are like Lululemon’s Align leggings, I would actually say they’re more similar to Lululemon’s Fast and Free pair in look and feel.
The only major difference is that the CRZ YOGA leggings are thicker than Lululemon’s Fast and Free ones. I found this fine for my exercise routine, which involves (slowish) running and weights, but if you do intense cardio they may be too hot for you.
CRZ YOGA LEGGINGS: THE VERDICT
The CRZ YOGA leggings don’t just live up to the hype, they surpass them. They’re leggings that not only offer a comfortable and flattering fit but should cost a lot more than they actually do. Honestly they’re the perfect dupe if you’re after an affordable alternative to Lululemon.
Not only did they move easily with me while I was weight training in the gym, they also pass the squat test, aka they don’t go see-through or fall down.
When it came to running, I found them equally comfortable thanks to the light compression they provided. Again they didn’t fall down and I love that the pockets meant I could fit my phone and keys in easily.
