"A wonderful addition to my wardrobe. The great British springs and summers are often full of unseasonable temperatures, and this is where this coat is essential. It's lightweight, packable and extremely comfortable to wear. I already own an Amazon Essentials bulkier, longer-length puffer jacket so knew that the quality of this one would be good. It's as light as a feather and looks good on. I like the fact that there are zipped pockets on the outside plus deep inside pockets, which are great for stashing a phone. Highly recommended. Thanks Amazon!" one wrote.
"I love this jacket! Lightweight, warm , bonus inside pockets. Northern Vermont can get pretty chilly, this is my go to winter coat. When my first one started showing some wear (I snagged it in chicken wire) it became my barn coat and I ordered another for every day! Good value in my opinion," another wrote.

In winter, I live in puffer jackets. Whether I’m heading out for a walk, on my way to the gym, or going to a footy game, a puffer is my jacket of choice as it keeps me toasty warm. One thing I don’t love about them? How they’re often super bulky to wear.
But I’ve now found the holy grail puffer in the Uniqlo Ultra Light Down Jacket. This puffer jacket is, as the name suggests, ultra lightweight - you can stuff it into a small bag! - yet it still provides you with the toasty goodness that you’re after in a puffer.
With a water-repellent finish, covered fasteners to keep cold air out, and coming in eight colourways, the Uniqlo puffer has become my go-to for cold winter days. (For context, I own three puffer jackets.) I just love how light this puffer jacket is but it doesn’t compromise on the warmth at all. Plus the compact size is ideal for anyone travelling as you can scrunch it down into the bag. I'd highly recommend this puffer jacket to everyone and anyone.
Kathmandu Epiq SE Puffer, $449.98 at THE ICONIC
Why we love it: Warm and comfy; not big or bulky; flattering silhouette; packs into mini drawstring pouch.
What to consider: Expensive; may get too warm.
Material: 100 per cent recycled nylon | Size: XXS to XXL | Colour: Black
Tried and Tested by Jessica Smith, Health & Wellness Writer
I got my hands on the Kathmandu Epiq SE Puffer not long ago, and it has pretty much been my go-to jacket for anything outdoors since, comfier and warmer than anything else I own. (Sorry, to my dad's old windproof jacket I'd been rocking till now.) Yet despite making me feel snug as a bug in a big ole marshmallow, this puffer still manages not to look big and bulky on the outside. With front pockets placed closer together around the stomach region, there’s an A-line effect created that makes the puffer flattering and stylish, while being just the right combination of cosy and roomy. The jacket features stretchy cuffs to seal in the heat at your wrists, and two pockets both inside and out to stash everything from your phone, to your keys, to your lip balm, which I find so handy. There's drawstrings around the hood to cinch the heat in if it's extra cold, and if it’s getting too warm while on a hike, simply stash it away into the provided bag to carry with you.
This special edition puffer jacket is crafted with fabric derived from recycled plastic waste, including recycled car tyres, and duck down certified to the Responsible Down Standard.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN BUYING A WOMEN'S PUFFER JACKET
When choosing puffer jackets for this list, we considered several factors:
Cut: Is it a cropped, mid-length, or a long puffer coat?
Warmth: Puffers, particularly down jackets, are famous for being among the warmest jackets available. Their warmth comes partly from the internal insulation filling. This fill can be made of lots of different materials from recycled polyester and synthetic fill through to downfill. When choosing a jacket consider if you live somewhere that gets cold enough or you do cold weather outdoor activities that require a down fill insulated, heavyweight puffer jacket, or if a lightweight puffer will be the best jacket for you. You could also look for a fleece-lined puffer jacket for extra warmth
Colour: Colour puffers will be more of a statement piece while an all-rounder neutral or a dark colour won't show marks
Budget: Do you want to splurge on a durable, high-quality puffer, or a more budget-friendly option?
Waterproof level: Puffer jackets that are water-repellent or water-resistant are usually coated in a DWR, which stands for durable water-repellent. These will keep out some rain and water and the water should bead and run off the fabric. Waterproof is the next level up and provides greater protection from the elements
Sleeves: The warmest jackets will have features like internal elastic cuffs that keep out of the wind and rain
Jacket Features: Does it come with a removable hood or is it a helmet-compatible puffer jacket you can wear while cycling? An internal chest pocket is handy for keys and phones

WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR WITH A PUFFER JACKET?
THE ICONIC’s Head of Style, Nicole Adolphe, has dubbed puffer jackets “a key street-style fashion statement”.
Although most of us gravitate towards black, navy and moody maroon colours in winter, Nicole says the puffer trend is a great way to experiment with colours too.
For styling inspiration, Nicole advises shoppers to dress down the voluminous jacket with a “sweater or turtleneck knit, partnered with straight, wide or mom jeans”. For a dressier occasion, she suggests something like a long knitted dress with a pair of ankle boots.
IS A PUFFER JACKET WATERPROOF?
Not all puffer jackets are waterproof. Some options on this list have a durable water-repellent finish, which means they are designed for water to bead off the surface, making them water-resistant – but most puffers aren’t totally waterproof.
