Have you ever wondered how A-list celebrities like Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston get the most amazing glowy skin come awards season?

While I don’t doubt they’re spending hundreds of dollars on exxy skincare products, they’re also investing in skin treatments – one of them being skin needling.

Samantha Appel, founder of The Skin Bar, explains how skin needling is “the perfect pre-event treatment that your skin will reap the rewards for weeks and months after. In just one treatment alone it will stimulate more collagen production than you lose in one year”.

THE A-LIST CELEBRITIES THAT SWEAR BY SKIN NEEDLING

It’s not just their talented makeup artist doing all the work – your favourite celebrities are using skin needling, also known as microneedling, as their secret weapon to really elevate their skincare routine before a big event.

At the age of 62, Demi Moore is finally up for an Best Actress nomination at the upcoming Oscars, for her work on the film The Substance.

It’s no doubt Demi follow a strict skincare routine to maintain her incredibly youthful glow for all the red carpets. But according to her facialist, Terri Lawton, Demi is also a fan of facial treatments like skin needling.

Terri shares with InStyle, “I’ve been working with Demi for more than 20 years … With Demi, I see her true beauty and its depth. But Demi does not dabble in this concept. She lives it 24/7 and is authentic in her body, mind, and spirit.”

She continues, “this allows for her skin to look beautiful and alive, giving the dimension we are looking for. With my facials, I work with products that best match the skin’s energy internally and spiritually.”

This can be anything from lymphatic massage with a gua sha, or a microneedling treatment to really penetrate the skin and make it glow.

And it’s not just Demi who’s a fan.

In an interview with People magazine, Jennifer Aniston, 56, also shared her love for microneedling treatments.

“I do micro-needling! I just learned about it a couple months ago from a facialist in New York. It allows the serums and whatever products you’re using to really soak in”.

Gwyneth Paltrow, 52, has also admitted to being a fan of microneedling – and apparently it’s the most interesting beauty treatment she’s ever tried.

“It didn’t even hurt that much, but it just seemed weird. My skin looked really glowy for a number of days, I have to tell you.”

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SKIN NEEDLING

During the treatment, tiny needles create micro-injuries in the skin, sending a message to your body to produce new collagen.

It can help to improve texture, smooth skin and overall make your skin glow like never before.

Plus we love that there’s minimal downtime involved – you’re only left with some redness for a few hours after the treatment.

If you’re keen to give it a try for yourself, head on over to The Skin Bar now and book your first appointment.

Lucky new shoppers can score 30 per cent off their first treatment, using the code ‘SKINBAR30’.
