If you’re a millennial who is even remotely interested in beauty, then you need no introduction to Aussie beauty influencer, Chloe Morello.
Having first sprung onto our small screens back in 2008, Chloe, now 34, is one of the original stars of YouTube. You likely learnt how to do your makeup thanks to her, as well as the likes of Jeffree Star, Patrick Ta and Carli Bybel.
To her legion of fans who grew up watching her, Chloe’s aspirational yet relatable persona as well as her ability to make complicated makeup routines accessible, quickly propelled her to ‘internet sensation’ status.
Flash forward 16 years, Chloe now lives in Batemans Bay with her husband and two kids. But she’s still as big as ever with over 2.5 million followers on YouTube, over 1.1 million followers on Instagram and 145k followers on TikTok.
In case she wasn’t busy enough, she’s now also an ambassador for Cancer Council Australia. We sat down with the YouTube queen to find out exactly what she puts on her face, the $13 “gross” beauty hacks she lives by and is the secret to getting a a nine out of ten rating on FeetFinder.com.
WHAT PRODUCTS ARE IN CHLOE MORELLO’S SKINCARE ROUTINE?
“It’s different morning to night and it does depend on what my skin’s up to that day. But at the basic level in the morning, I don’t actually cleanse as I’ve cleansed it the night before. And I’m clean when I get into bed! I just wash my face with water in the morning and I found that’s been really good for my skin barrier. I might use the Face Halo and then a serum in the morning, generally vitamin C.”
Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Pore Perfecting Cleansing Gel, $70 at Woolworths
Beauty of Joseon Centella vitamin C Light On Serum, $21.99 (down from $28) at Amazon Australia

“The treatments that you can do from home – like a good acid or a mask that does a lot of exfoliation, that does a big thing for the glow. I love a Caudalie (Instant Detox Mask).”
Caudalie Instant Detox Mask, $54 at Sephora
“I love the Peter Thomas Roth mask. It’s grainy as it’s got the pumpkin enzymes in it. You can feel it tingling! It gives you baby skin that’s been underneath just waiting to come out. When the Black Friday sale comes up, I might get another one this year.”
Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, $99 at Sephora
“Microneedling really helps [your skin], it’s great. I’m using Qure; you buy it yourself and you do it at home. It’s like this little, it’s not a roller, it’s a stamp with liquid in it. Honestly, I’ve only done it twice but it’s amazing. It’s microneedling at home.”
Qure MicroInfusion, from $99 (1 monthly supply) at Qure
“Because I’ve been doing microneedling, I’ve also been using my BIOEFFECT.
You know that EGF serum? I love that.”
BIOEFFECT EGF Serum, $175 at Amazon Australia
“Then I go straight to my sunscreen because I skip moisturiser now that I’ve got the Hydration Boost and the Radiance Boost from Cancer Council Australia. I use this as my moisturiser and my primer and my SPF. Plus, it’s got hyaluronic acid and Poylyol plus in it, which is really hydrating and helps to seal in the moisture and stuff.”

“If you have dark under eye circles, you want to colour correct rather than trying to layer up coverage. If you try to put a light concealer on, it actually just makes it look grey. I love the Mac little six palette, but also you could use a bright orange concealer to colour correct and then just put a light layer of concealer on.”
MAC Pro Palette Studio Finish Skin Corrector x 6, $70 at MAC Cosmetics
ONE THING WE’D BE SURPRISED TO FIND IN YOUR BEAUTY CUPBOARD?
“Aside from pimple patches, I used to love cutting my spare pads up and using them as eyeshadow catches. That was one of my big viral videos too. You cut them and stick them underneath your eyes. There’s that slight stickiness because they stick to your undies, but they’re great if you’re going to do a smokey eye as it catches all the dark fallout of your eyeshadow. Just get the cheap ones … actually a bit of paper and some blue tack might work too if you don’t want to use your pads.”
tbh. patch it up multi-size pimple patches, $19.95 at tbh. Skincare
ONE UNSEXY ITEM CHLOE MORELLO SWEARS BY?

Milky Foot Intense Exfoliating foot pad, $37 at Amazon Australia
“Urea Cream is a really good ingredient for hands and feet. Then put your cotton socks over the top. If you do that, you’ll be making money on FeetFinder.com. I have a nine out of ten on Feet Finder, there’s a whole page on me. What’s my secret? Milky Foot and a good pedicure.”
Urea 40% Foot & Hand Cream, $12.99 (down from $17.99) at Amazon Australia
ONE ITEM WE’LL ALWAYS FIND IN CHLOE MORELLO’S HANDBAG?
“Sunscreen. You’ve always got to have your sunscreen because reapplication is key. I haven’t had a sunburn in such a long time because I’m the queen of reapplication and also lip balm. My lip balm is also Cancer Council, so it’s got SPF 50+. It is really good because your lips can get sunburnt. A lot of them taste bad but this one doesn’t.”

“Hand sanitiser, particularly love Touchland. It’s a spray one and they smell nice. Since I’m always reapplying my sunscreen, this gets it off my hand.”

“I think I actually want a beige music player, like a Bluetooth player. We have this ugly aqua one right now. I just hate seeing it in the living room. We play a lot of music. My husband’s Hispanic, so we’re always playing salsa, but the music player is just an eyesore and it affects me. It affects my quality of life. So I need a nice one that suits my decor. I saw one on Temple and Webster, it’s beige with gold and that would look nice.”
